Student Materials Management

Each student in a group needs the following:

• Student Workbook
• Sound Circles & Syllable Rectangles
• Magnet Board & Letters
• Dictation Paper or notebook paper

Student Materials Advance Preparation

1. Place letter tiles A-Z in order on Magnetic Boards for everyday use.
   These letters always remain on the boards.
2. Organize additional letter magnets for easy access. (i.e., drawer organizers, craft box organizers, magnetic grid, etc.). See SPIRE Magnetic Letter Tile Organization & Use for details
3. Assemble sets of 6 white and 3 green sound circles for students. These are included with the manipulative kits.
4. Prepare phoneme segmentation and phoneme-grapheme work mats. Pull these from student workbooks and place in sheet protectors.
5. Gather a set of markers, colored pencils, etc. for small groups.

• Blackline Masters
• Student Workbook
• Word Cards
• Decodable Reader Sets
• Magnetic Phoneme Segmentation Chart
• Phonogram Cards (the same for every level)
