Accessibility Options for EPS Learning Student Materials
EPS Learning is committed to supporting equitable access to instructional materials for all learners, including students with disabilities. Accessibility considerations span both print based instructional materials and digital or online content and are supported through established national standards and documentation practices.
Accessible Versions of Print Materials
The National Instructional Materials Accessibility Center (NIMAC) is a federally funded repository established under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). NIMAC serves as a centralized source of digital source files for K–12 print instructional materials that can be used to produce accessible formats for students with print disabilities.
What NIMAC Provides
NIMAC houses instructional materials in the National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS) format, used by authorized organizations to create student ready accessible formats, such as:
-
Braille
-
Large print
-
Digital text
-
Digital audio and DAISY formats
How NIMAC Supports Accessibility
Authorized users—including state education agencies and accessible media producers—download NIMAS files from NIMAC and convert them into accessible instructional materials for eligible students. This process helps schools and districts meet legal requirements for providing accessible instructional materials in a timely manner.
More information about NIMAC, eligibility, and how accessible formats are produced is available at the official NIMAC website.

Accessibility Information for Digital Products
For digital products and online student materials, accessibility is commonly documented using an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) using the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®) template. An ACR explains how a product conforms to applicable accessibility standards, including the U.S. Revised Section 508 standards for information and communication technology (ICT).
What Is an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR)?
An ACR is a formal document that describes how a product supports, partially supports, or does not support specific accessibility requirements. Federal agencies and other organizations use ACRs to evaluate accessibility during procurement and compliance reviews.
What Is a VPAT®?
The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®) is a standardized template created by the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI). Vendors use the VPAT® to document test results against accessibility criteria. Once completed, the VPAT® becomes an Accessibility Conformance Report.
VPAT® templates align with multiple accessibility standards, including:
- Revised Section 508 (U.S.)
- International accessibility standards
