Reading Assistant 100 Story Challenge

What is the 100 Story Challenge?

The Reading Assistant 100 Story Challenge is a motivational activity designed to encourage students to read more stories using Amira, the Reading Assistant. Each time a student completes a story, they fill in one of 100 squares on the challenge sheet. The goal is to read 100 stories and celebrate progress along the way.

How does it work?

  • Each student receives a printable sheet with 100 numbered squares.

  • After finishing a story with Amira, the student fills in a square.

  • There’s a space for the student’s name to personalize their challenge sheet.

  • The challenge is available in both English and Spanish.

Why use the 100 Story Challenge?

  • Motivation: Students can visually track their reading progress, which encourages them to keep going.

  • Goal Setting: The challenge helps students set and achieve reading goals.

  • Celebration: Completing the challenge is a milestone worth celebrating, fostering a sense of accomplishment.

Getting Started

  1. Download and print the 100 Story Challenge sheet.

  2. Write your name at the top.

  3. Start reading stories with Amira.

  4. Fill in a square each time you finish a story.

  5. Aim to complete all 100 squares!

Spanish Version Available

The challenge sheet is also available in Spanish (“Reto de 100 historias”), with instructions for coloring a square after each story read with Amira.
