Reading Assistant Metrics: Dyslexia Risk Indicator Score (DRI)

The Dyslexia Risk Indicator Score is a 0-100 score that represents a student's likelihood of being at risk for reading difficulties, including Dyslexia; higher scores indicate higher risk.

DRI Scores are gleaned from the Benchmark Assessment and can be found on the Reading Risk Report.

How to Read a DRI Score

DRI Scores range from 0-100, with higher scores indicating higher risk.

For grades Pre-K-K	For grades 1-8
< 30 = Low Risk 30-33 = At Risk, Weaker Signals > 33 = At Risk, Stronger Signals	< 30 = Low Risk 30-36 = At Risk, Weaker Signals > 36 = At Risk, Stronger Signals

Example

A score of 0 is the lowest possible rank and will not display a green bar score. A score of -1 means the assessment was taken but no valid score could be generated due to limited orincomplete performance data (common for early readers still learning letters and sounds).

Scores of 30 or higher are flagged as At Risk.
