Product Ordering Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is a "Refill Set"?
A. While the specific contents will vary by product, "Refill Sets" generally refer to multi-packs of student workbooks. Often times we offer "Class Sets" or "Small Group Sets" with one set of teacher materials and a certain number of student books. Associated "refills" allow you to easily repurchase consumable workbooks without an additional set of teacher materials. Examples include Wordly Wise 3000 Class/Refill Sets, Vocabulary from Classical Roots Class Sets, and Performance Coach Class Sets.
Q. Why are some products not available for consumers/parents/homeschool families to purchase?
A. While the majority of our products are available to purchase by anyone, we do have some products that are restricted for consumers. These products fall into two main groups: Digital products that do not permit personal email addresses (SPIRE STAR, iSPIRE, Wordly Wise i3000, etc.) and Teacher Guides/Answer Keys for our Coach product lines as these workbooks are often used in schools and access to answers are restricted.
Q. How do I know which levels/books I need to buy?
A. Skills-based programs like SPIRE Intervention and Explode The Code use placement tests to help you determine what level to start with. Other programs, like Wordly Wise 3000 and Vocabulary from Classical Roots follow along with grade-level appropriate content and difficulty. For more information on placement tests, see:
Q. Can different editions of products be used together?
A. Generally speaking, different/newer editions of EPS products are not "classroom compatible" with each other and could not be mixed together for use in a single classroom. If you have questions about what edition(s) you may have before a purchase, we recommend reviewing current edition book covers at shop.epslearning.com, or contact our support team with your question and include a photo or scan of the title page.
Q. What are the main differences between Megawords 2nd Edition and Megawords 3rd Edition?
A. Megawords 3rd Edition features a fresh new page and cover design, large-scale refresh of reading passages to increase student engagement by improving modern relevance, additional comprehension question for every passage, and a refresh of a small number of words that may be upsetting to some students. 3rd Edition replaces the older copyright 2nd Edition long term.
